[Letter] 1839 Oct. 8, Amesbury, Mass. : [to] Herman R. Perry, Townshend, Windham Co., Vt. / [from] Jarvis W. Miller.

Miller writes of a journey from Jaffrey [N.H.?] to Lowell, Mass., and describes seeing factories in Lowell "standing nearly unbroken for a mile." He then tells of traveling to Amesbury, Mass., and gives details of the spinning job he has there. He notes that the noise in the factory in Amesbury is not as bad as in a small factory in Vermont where he had worked.
